Leonard Maull passed away about a year ago; this past Saturday, one of his last requests was executed. For five minutes, a helicopter dumped equal denominations of $5, $10, $20, and $50 bills over a marina at Lewes Harbor in Deleware.
Police were advised in advance, but the event was not announced to the public. Some scooped up as much as $700, as people swam through the canal or boated in and scooped up cash with nets. Two were hospitalized due to accidents suffered in the pursuit of the money.
